Construction costs for Øresund Landworks

The construction costs of the various major infrastructure facilities are financed through the state guarantee model and the loans are repaid by the users of the facilities.

The construction costs for the Øresund Landworks total DKK 5.4 billion in 1991 prices (corresponding to approximately DKK 8.6 billion in 2017 prices). The landworks comprise the Øresund motorway and the Øresund rail line to Kastrup.

The construction cost, including interest, is repaid through an annual fee from Banedanmark and through a dividend payment from Øresundsbro Konsortiet. In 2017, the fee from Banedanmark totalled DKK 80 million. Øresundsbro Konsortiet has not yet paid any dividend.

At the end of 2017, A/S Øresund’s interest-bearing debt totalled DKK 11,2 billion. As regards A/S Øresund, the repayment period is calculated to 50 years.
