Construction costs for Øresund Landworks

The investment in the Øresund fixed link’s landworks will be repaid in part through payment from Banedanmark for use of the Øresund rail line and in part through dividend payments from Øresundsbro Konsortiet I/S of which A/S Øresund owns 50 per cent.

The construction costs for the Øresund Landworks total DKK 5.4 billion in 1991 prices (corresponding to approximately DKK 8.7 billion in 2018 prices). The landworks comprise the Øresund motorway and the Øresund rail line to Kastrup.

The construction cost, including interest, is repaid through an annual fee from Banedanmark and through a dividend payment from Øresundsbro Konsortiet I/S. In 2018, the fee from Banedanmark totalled DKK 61 million.

In 2018, Øresundsbro Konsortiet I/S paid dividend of DKK 1,070 million of which A/S Øresund’s share totals DKK 535 million.

At the end of 2018, A/S Øresund’s interest-bearing net debt was DKK 11.0 billion while the debt repayment was DKK 0.2 billion. The repayment period for A/S Øresund is calculated at 45 years, which is five years shorter than last year. This is due to the adoption of a new dividend policy for Øresundsbro Konsortiet I/S, which brought forward dividend payments.
