The agreement allows BroBizz customers to use their BroBizz for payment at 95 per cent of all outdoor parking facilities in Denmark and is another step for both companies towards their goal of continuously providing customers with new opportunities.
“We are pleased to offer our customers this new service, which means that they can pay for parking, both in Denmark and in other European countries, through their BroBizz agreement. The partnership with EasyPark is important for us working to develop and improve our services, thus allowing us to create more benefits for our customers,” says BroBizz A/S Chief Executive, Helle Bech.
BroBizz customers who sign up for the EasyPark mobile parking service can then use their phone to park while all their parking usage is paid for via their existing BroBizz agreement. They will not have to set up payment card information with EasyPark to use the service. It is simple, and customers get the same benefits as other Easypark customers.
All payments on one account
For EasyPark, the agreement is a good example of how an infrastructure can achieve greater cohesion through strategic partnership.
“It will now be possible to collect all the payments for a car’s movements on one account, and we get the opportunity to offer our service to the 600,000 BroBizz customers. EasyPark has already been working to ensure more intelligent parking with the likes of private parking operators, car manufacturers and ‘big data’ experts – and now there is BroBizz. The new agreement is another good example of the way to a more coherent infrastructure through the use of digital opportunities,” says EasyPark Chief Executive, Morten Hother Sørensen.
The mobile service works either through an app on your phone, text message or via calls to start, extend or terminate parking. This means that customers only pay for the time they park. They can extend their parking via mobile phone and save the time they would otherwise have spent on using parking meters. No cards and cash are needed. The EasyPark covers all of Denmark and large parts of Europe.
The new partnership gives users of EasyPark and BroBizz the option to pay with the same account for both parking and charges on toll roads, bridges and ferry crossings. BroBizz is currently most common in Scandinavia, but the goal is to offer customers payment by BroBizz throughout Europe – so this agreement is an important step towards achieving that.
