The holding company, Sund & Bælt, owns the shares in the subsidiaries, A/S Storebælt, A/S Øresund, A/S Femern Landanlæg, Femern A/S, Sund & Bælt Partner A/S and BroBizz A/S.
As the parent company, Sund & Bælt Holding A/S handles the overall management of the activities in the 100 per cent owned subsidiaries, A/S Storebælt, A/S Øresund, Sund & Bælt Partner A/S, BroBizz A/S, A/S Femern Landanlæg and Femern A/S.
Through A/S Øresund, Sund & Bælt Holding owns half of Øresundsbro Konsortiet, which owns and operates the Øresund Bridge. The state-owned Swedish company, SVEDAB AB, owns the other 50 per cent of Øresundsbro Konsortiet.
Sund & Bælt Holding A/S was established by law on 4 December 1991 as a 100 per cent owned public limited company for the construction of the fixed link across Øresund. The Act, together with the Act for the Construction of a Fixed Link across Storebælt, was replaced by Act no. 588 of 24 June 2005 concerning Sund & Bælt Holding A/S.
At the same time, Sund & Bælt is the operating company for both A/S Storebælt and A/S Øresund and decides on all matters relating to the two subsidiaries.
Financial management in respect of A/S Storebælt and A/S Øresund is handled together with Øresundsbro Konsortiet.
