Traffic figures: Øresund facility
The Øresund facility, which comprises a motorway and railway as well as the Øresund Bridge, is one of the most important transport links in Denmark despite its relatively short section.
The Øresund motorway is one of the busiest road sections in Denmark partly because it leads directly to the airport and across to Malmö. Traffic is also heavy on the Storebælt’s motorway with 30,000 vehicles passing through the bridge’s toll station on a daily basis. Brobizz A/S, which was established in 2008, is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Sund & Bælt Holding A/S. In the first half of 2013, Brobizz A/S prepared to take over the issuer function from A/S Storebælt.
Traffic and revenue continue to rise on the Øresund Bridge with July setting several traffic records. This resulted in increased profits before interest while rising inflation increased financial expenses.
2016 shows improved results and a new road traffic record for the Øresund Bridge. Profits amount to DKK 1,020 million before value adjustment, a rise of DKK 121 million compared to 2015.
