The table shows the number of passengers using the Øresund trains across the Øresund Bridge from 2010-14. The figures are based on sales figures. Year 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014…
Sund & Bælt’s objective is that the company’s road sections should be open round-the-clock, 365 days a year and that traffic should flow smoothly and safely with a high service level for road users.
A vehicle’s toll category – the price that is paid for crossing the bridge – is determined on the basis of the vehicle’s length and height.
Every morning, Sund & Bælt’s road service team makes a trip across the Storebælt fixed link to pick up litter and check that all safety precautions are in order as far as road safety is concerned.
As infrastructure owner, Sund & Bælt is focused on road safety. Our road safety policy commits us to making a proactive effort to prevent accidents at our facilities.
The toll station is an integral part of the Storebælt link with more than 30,000 customers passing through it every day.
If all goes according to plan, Storebælt’s new SCADA (Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition) will become operational in May.
The advantage of operating and maintaining both the Storebælt and Øresund rail lines is clearly evident, not least because equipment from Storebælt will be used for maintenance on the Øresund line from the spring.
