Sund & Bælt is tasked with:

• Operating and maintaining the road link across the Storebælt Bridge;
• Collecting payment from the users of the Storebælt Bridge;
• Operating as an issuer of payment devices (BroBizz) for use in a user-paid infrastructure;
• Monitoring and maintaining Storebælt’s rail section;
• Operating and maintaining the port facilities at Odden‚ Ebeltoft‚ Spodsbjerg and Tårs;
• Operating and maintaining the Øresund motorway;
• Operating and maintaining Sprogø Offshore Wind Farm
• Collecting fees from Banedanmark (Rail Net Denmark) for user rights across the Øresund railway on Amager and for the rail facilities across Storebælt;
• Managing the part ownership of Øresundsbro Konsortiet;
• Administering and making provision for repayment of A/S Storebælt’s and A/S Øresund’s debt portfolio;
• Providing client consultancy in relation to major and primarily international infrastructure projects on a commercial basis;
• Femern A/S is responsible for the planning, feasibility studies and preparatory work in relation to the coast-to-coast link in connection with the Fehmarnbelt fixed link.
• A/S Femern Landanlæg is responsible for co-ordinating the planning work for the fixed link across the Fehmarnbelt comprising the coast-to-coast link and the Danish landworks.
