Scale and a positive working environment based on healthy values

In 2010, I was headhunted from a job in Germany to the Femern Bælt project. Prior to the initial recruitment meetings, I was a little hesitant, but when the project was presented to me and I heard more about the job, my doubt disappeared. I simply had to be a part of that.

Why I am happy to be here? On the one hand, due to its size and complexity, the Fehmarnbelt project is of course fantastic to work with. However, it is just as much the Danish working environment that makes the difference for me. In the entire Sund & Bælt, you are met with openness, kindness and respect. That is radically different from what I have experienced in previous jobs. At the moment, we are 19 different nationalities in my team, and everybody very much appreciates the Danish working culture and the positive vibe that characterises the Sund & Bælt group.

I experience a genuine interest in me, and my well-being as an employee. At a certain time when I was hit by a very massive workload, the problems were addressed and I got the necessary support in order that I could perform optimally again and balance my professional as well as my private life.

It is very sincere when I say that I am proud of my work. I am proud of our project and of working at Sund & Bælt. That is important to me when it is something that I spend so much of my life doing. Therefore, I have no problem seeing myself keep on working in the group on one of the coming projects, where I together with other good and competent colleagues can make use of the unique experience we gain from Femern.
