In spring 2026, work will begin to establish passing tracks at Kalvebod from Bådehavnsgade/Fragtvej to Ellebjergvej. The task is part of the Infrastructure Plan 2035 and is crucial to realizing the full benefits of a southern rail corridor from Roskilde via København Syd to Copenhagen Airport.
The passing tracks are also being established to improve rail operations and ensure capacity for passenger and freight traffic in connection with the increase in rail traffic expected with the upcoming Fehmarnbelt connection.
Ahead of the forthcoming works, Sund & Bælt invites the public to a meeting, where attendees can learn about the project’s preliminary timeline, traffic impacts, and the location of construction sites.
At the public meeting, there will also be an opportunity to ask questions in plenary and engage in dialogue with subject-matter experts at information booths.
Public meeting
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, from 17:00 to 19:00 at Scandic Sluseholmen, Molestien 11, 2450 Copenhagen SV. Doors open at 16:30.
Sund & Bælt notes that the presentation at the public meeting will be recorded for subsequent publication on the project website.
